Chiropractic care is beneficial to women in both prenatal and postnatal stages of birth.

Prenatal Care:

Chiropractic care is a great way to prepare for birth. Chiropractic adjustments gently align the pelvis in order to allow optimal room for the fetus to grow and move as needed. It also helps the mother be more comfortable as her body grows and changes. Dr. Jade is a member the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), and is certified in the Webster Technique, which is an assessment and diversified adjusting technique that is very helpful during pregnancy. The Webster technique addresses the structure of the pelvis, as well as the ligaments and muscles connected to her uterus.

Postnatal Care:

After the baby has been delivered, chiropractic care helps the mother’s body restore pelvic and spinal alignment and regain optimal nervous system function.

For women who are having trouble getting pregnant, chiropractic may be helpful if the problem is caused by nervous system interference (subluxation). Nerves go to all the organs, including the reproductive organs, and if a subluxation exists that involves nerves that innervate said organs, chiropractic can correct the subluxation and allow the woman’s body to return to normal function.
